Habitat for Humanity Community Event

More than 15,500+ volunteers assist in our home-building program every year. They build homes, raise funds, work in the offices, feed hungry volunteers, work at our Home Centers, and more. Our volunteers work alongside our homeowners and help them on their journey toward homeownership. We offer volunteer opportunities for students, groups, organizations, and individuals with court-ordered community service hours needed.

General information about building:

Habitat builds homes year-round. We can get volunteers involved with construction from Tuesdays through Saturdays, 7:45 am – 3:00 pm. No prior construction experience is needed for construction volunteers.

Proper attire will make your day more comfortable and enjoyable. Put your name on all of your belongings, as Habitat assumes no responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen items. There is no central place to store and secure personal belongings. Other suggested items are plastic drinking cups/water bottles, work boots or sneakers, gloves, a wide-brimmed hat/visor, sunglasses, and sunblock
