We invite you to be part of something meaningful by volunteering at StrongHER: San Antonio’s Celebration of Girls & Women in Sports, an inspiring event honoring National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
StrongHER brings together high school female student-athletes from more than 15 San Antonio–area school districts for a day focused on confidence, leadership, and opportunity—both on the court and behind the scenes. As an SSE employee, your time and presence can make a powerful difference.
All SSE employees are encouraged to volunteer, and we especially welcome Girl Dads who want to stand as visible allies and champions for girls in sports. Your support helps show young athletes that they are believed in, supported, and capable of achieving anything.

Volunteer Roles Needed:
Event Check-In & Registration
Greet attendees, assist with check-in, distribute event materials, and help ensure a smooth arrival experience.
Activity & Station Support
Support interactive activity stations by assisting staff, explaining instructions, managing participant flow, and encouraging engagement.
Speaker & Guest Support
Assist keynote speakers and special guests with logistics, directions, and timing to keep the event running smoothly.
Student Group & Crowd Management
Help guide school groups and participants throughout the venue, manage transitions between sessions, and maintain a safe, positive atmosphere.
Set-Up & Breakdown Crew
Assist with event setup (tables, signage, materials) before the event and help with breakdown afterward.
Information & Wayfinding
Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable resource by answering questions and directing guests to activities, restrooms, and event spaces.
